I’ve been in the building materials / construction industry for a number of years and have now built up a valuable blend of operational and consultancy experience in these sectors. Operationally, I have worked at board level in a sales and marketing capacity and, as a consultant, have worked on numerous projects within this market. The 13 years of operational experience helps me provide a realistic and practical approach in all my dealings with clients.

As a Management Consultant, my clients have ranged from small start up companies with a turnover of less than £2m to larger multi-national businesses. Sectors worked in include the following: manufacturing, construction, distribution, retail, financial services, property development, not-for-profit and public utilities. My areas of expertise include strategy development, market planning, research and analysis, product marketing and marketing communications.

Prior to Leading Edge, I was Marketing Director for Hall & Co, a £200m builders’ merchant group and, more recently, Sales and Marketing Director at Marley Floors. Marley is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of flooring materials. In a consultancy capacity, I worked in the Strategic and Marketing division of Price Waterhouse Coopers Management Consultants and also for Management Horizons, a marketing and research consultancy. I have a degree in Economics and Statistics and an MBA from Imperial College.

Out of office hours you’ll either find me on a golf course or a tennis court – or acting as taxi driver for my teenage children.
