This client produced timber products for the construction market. Although it had been successful in its home market, it wished to launch its product into the UK construction market but first wished to find out more about the purchasing behaviour of timber distributors. We interviewed 25 timber distributors spread evenly across the UK in order to identify specific facts about the market including types of timber bought, attitude to timber from different countries, likelihood of buying clients timber and level of stocks.
