Market research provides valuable input to BRE product relaunch
BRE is one of the leading accreditation schemes for energy assessors supplying EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) and wanted to enhance its market position. The company wished to review its service offering, assess its performance compared to the competition and understand the reasons why some potential customers chose to go elsewhere.
To meet these objectives we carried out an in-depth research programme among its domestic and non domestic customer base and also interviewed a selection of ex customers. In total we interviewed 230 assessors by telephone collecting a large amount of quantitative and qualitative feedback.
We then undertook a detailed analysis of the data which provided a number of key conclusions and recommendations for the BRE. In particular, the research indicated how the organisation should further develop their service mix, amend their pricing strategy and assess their positioning in the market. The strategic decisions made as a result of the recommendations were based on solid feedback from the market and gave the BRE more confidence that the options taken were correct.
BRE’s Marketing Executive commented, “the Leading Edge team were very professional in their approach to the research project. They were efficient in their delivery and kept to an extremely restricted delivery date. The results of the market research have proved to be very helpful and insightful in moving our projects forward”.
