SAS International is a world leader in the design and manufacture of metal ceilings as well as being a major player in the manufacturer of other associated interior products. Its key focus is the commercial construction market where SAS has a good reputation for manufacturing high quality products and is frequently specified by architects.
They asked Leading Edge to assess the potential of a new interior product before making a significant investment in manufacturing equipment. We completed detailed desk research on the competitors’ product ranges, met with key subcontractors and spoke to a number of executives currently operating within that market.
We provided SAS with a good background to the product sector, identified the market size, the share of the existing players, the structure of the market and the strengths and weaknesses of the leading players. Based on the research we then made specific recommendations on the next steps and highlighted potential issues that needed to be addressed to make the investment worthwhile.
